Vietnam Partners joined the private reception in honor of newly appointed Fulbright University Vietnam, President Dr. Scott Fritzen hosted by the U.S. Consul General, Susan Burns. Thank you for inviting us to your Residence. Dr. Scott Fritzen starts as the university’s second president at Fulbright from July 1, 2023.
In 1994-1995, Dr. Scott first lived in Vietnam as a graduate student working with a number of UN agencies and NGOs and becoming the first American to receive a Fulbright scholarship in the post-war era. At the same time, Bradley was based in Hanoi acting as a Representative of Citibank and Citigroup in Vietnam, Bradley and Dr. Scott has been getting to know each other through involvement at the American Chamber of Commerce in Hanoi those days when Brad was the first Chairman of the community, then pursued international/ professional Banking & Business and Scott pursued his international/ professional career path in Education years later.
More exciting to know that Dr. Scott Fritzen and our Chairman Bradley both grew up and finished high-school in Flint, Michigan. While Dr. Scott holds a Bachelor of Arts in Cultural Anthropology from Michigan State University, and Bradley holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from University of Michigan.
By that, we wish Dr. Scott all the best for the new chapter with Fulbright University Vietnam, and Vietnam Partners hopes to join hands supporting not only capital advisory for the new campus in District 9 but the professional training programs for Vietnamese’s Executives level involving with the University of Michigan as well.
