Background

Leveraging over two decades of experience, Sam Van has become a leading figure in facilitating access to U.S. capital markets for international companies. As Head of Advisory Services at Freedom U.S. Markets (Freedom Holding Corp: FRHC), Sam has overseen the successful listing of more than 70 companies on NYSE and Nasdaq, generating a combined market value of $7 billion. His expertise extends beyond deal execution, with current positions as an independent director for public companies and Senior Board Advisor at RKtech, a prominent international software firm.

Sam’s impressive career trajectory began with eleven years at the NYSE as Director of New Business Development, spearheading the initial public offerings of Asian companies. He then transitioned to FINRA (2012-2017) holding various roles in Trading and Compliance, Risk Oversight, and Sales Practice. Notably, Sam co-chaired and served as trustee for a $400 million investment transaction, successfully liquidating an asset deemed a national security risk – demonstrating his ability to navigate complex situations.

Beyond his corporate roles, Sam is a passionate advocate for entrepreneurs. He serves as the honorary chairman of VietChallenge, providing invaluable guidance to Vietnamese founders, and previously offered similar support to Asian companies during his tenure on the Asian Financial Society board. With a strong academic foundation (B.S. Finance – St. John’s University, MBA – Cornell University), Sam Van’s commitment to building bridges between international businesses and the U.S. capital market continues to shape the financial landscape.
